Sandip Soparrkar judges Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa UAE Season 2!
There were initial selection rounds and thousands of participants took part and finally top 16 were chosen for the show. The selected participants performed solos and gave their best to be able to get a chance of performing in front of the Bollywood diva, for which, they had to impress Bollywood's renowned choreographer Sandip Soparrkar along with Bollywood veteran choreographer Saroj Khan.
Sandip Soparrkar said, “I was excited about the new venture and the format of the show was very interesting. Above all, I love to judge youth dance show as todays’ generation is very innovative and I am also very passionate about dancing. My other reason for me to accept this show was Saroj ji, it is great to work with gods of Bollywood dance Saroj Khan, she is very honest, energetic, beautiful and an extremely warm person. I had a blast judging Jhalak UAE with her.”
UAE's Lakshmi Panicker gave a brilliant performance and won her ticket to dance in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa India show. She performed, Bharatnatyam, an Indian classical dance to Bollywood number Desi Girl from Dostana. The grand finale took place at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium in Dubai. Sandip’s cloths for the show were designed by his favourite designer Deepak Shah of More Mischief, at the show Sandip was seen shaking his leg with RJ Malavika Varadan and Siddharth of Radio City 1016 who were also the host of the episode.
The show was telecast in entire Arab countries and Africa on Colors ME channel. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa UAE season 1 touched the hearts of people and the show was a super success. This season 2 of Jhalak was on a much larger scale and the canvas of the show was bigger in all possible ways.

She elaborated her happiness saying, “Till date, I have done characters which require a lot of rona-dhona. Those were typical saas-bahu characters where I had to wear a saree. This role is an out and out comedy role wherein I portray a very modern, young, bubbly and a fun-loving character called Minty, which is what I really am. I am excited that I am going to play my age. I get to wear western attire and colourful accessories, which is so like me. Earlier, I have always played aunty type characters. I am a very easy and fun loving person by nature. So I don't have to act or put in any efforts for doing comedy.”

Vatsal Seth likely to be a part of Bigg Boss 7!

Karan Patel got eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6!
He stayed for only three weeks on the show, which has been judged by Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit and Remo D’Souza. Karan performed two acts and got 26 and 24 marks from the judges. On being quizzed what is the reason, and where he lacked in the performance that placed him on the bottom, Karan said he got a weak choreographer Samiksha as compared to other choreographer assigned to celebrities. He said Samiksha is a new and immature choreographer who seeped out to bring best from him.
If given a strong partner where Karan sees him in the competition? He replied, “If I could have also given that level’s choreographer that other guys have given, then I could’ve been in the top four contestants.”
Whom he considers have the caliber of reaching in top three? “I would love to see Drashti Dhami. And if you ask me about four finalists, I would say Drashti Dhami, Sana Seed, Laurent and Mukti Mohan. There is one male strong contestant left in the competition.”

Time to show dark side for Rucha Gujarati!
As a child artist, she played in movies like Dancer, Shabzade, Hum Hain Kamal Ke, Kanyadan, and Shikari. She shot to fame after featuring in popular music albums by Gurdas Maan, Pankaj Udhas, and Vaishali Samant. And about her daily serials, Rucha has done some memorable roles in shows like Bhabhi (as Bhabhi), Kkusum, Rihahee, Waaris, Waqt Batayga Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya and Shh Phir Koi Hain.
Well, it seems after tasting success as protagonist, Rucha will now name herself as a versatile actor as she is going play vamp in Zee TV’s new show Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se. She will play a menacing sister-in-law to the female protagonist in the show. She says she has never played such a character earlier.
"I play a character called Mahima in the show. She has a very overpowering and overshadowing nature. She is a decision-maker and knows how to get her work done in any possible way. Basically it is a grey character and I have not played such a character till date,” said Rucha.
She was speaking at the launch event of the show. “Playing this character will be a challenging experience for me as I will get an opportunity to emote a different emotion. So far I have only played (a good) bhabhi, girl-next-door or a gullible or simple, docile girl. So somewhere, it is a wonderful opportunity for me and I will give it my hundred percent,” added Rucha.
Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se is premiering on August 12 at 8.30 pm.

Abigail Jain bags a vital role in Life OK's Savdhan India!
And the show has yet again geared up to witness a love story of a girl, played by Abigail Jain, who made a mark for herself as Siya, in Channel V's Hum Se Hai Life. She has also done an episodic in Channel V’s youth show The Serial.
As per the sources, the plot of the forthcoming episodic will revolve around a love story and Abigail has been roped into play the protagonist. The episode is being produced by Baba Productions.
Abigail confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am doing Savdhan India. It's just for an episodic. I don't have any idea about the storyline as I am yet to meet the creative team. I will start shooting from tomorrow (4 July 2013).”

Kanchi Kaul is living best phase of life with hubby and in-laws!
Kanchi, well known for her roles in telly shows Bhabhi and Maayka, returned to television after a hiatus of four years. Talking about the gap, she said, “After marriage, Shabbir and I were travelling to different places for one year, we were on a long honeymoon! It was not a conscious decision to take a break but I wanted to enjoy my married life for a bit. When I started looking for work again and I got the offer for Meri Bhabhi, it came just at the right time.”
She goes on, “I feel it is important to take some time off after a show comes to an end. But I was doing a lot of ad films in the meantime. I also did commercials for Pakistan so that kept me busy.”
On being quizzed what changes she has observed after marriage, she said, “Life hasn't changed at all. The only difference is that I am living in a different house now.”
How does she manage her personal and professional life? Kanchi averred, “I am very lucky this way. I have the most awesome set of in-laws who take care of everything. And then there are servants to do the household work. In fact, I'd say I have lesser responsibilities here then I had back home!”

According to the sources, she has been signed to star in an episodic of Sony TV’s real life criminal incident based show Crime Patrol. It will be a story of a girl who decided to live life independently. “The story will revolve around a girl who tries to save her marriage but ultimately leaves her husband. Ekta will play the victim who was shot by her husband the reason being she left him as he was not able to earn and take care of the family,” inform sources.

Bhoomi to put under false allegations in Colors' Sanskaar!
As per the last episode, Bhoomi was stopped by neighbours when she was up to perform Aarti in Parvati Jagran. They believed that since she has become impure after staying with another man (referring to her recent kidnapping) she should not be allowed to offer prayers at the temple. This will irk Kishan (Jay Soni) and other family members of Bhoomi and they will take her side.
In the coming episode Husband Kishan along with entire family will be seen standing by Bhoomi’s side and supporting her. Sources informed, “Drama will reach the next level when Bhoomi will not be given the pooja thali to keep her offerings for the pooja. Shooting on hold as Ankita Lokhande is not keeping well!
Sources said Ankita is suffering from Malaria and prescribed to stay inside the home. “We are in serious trouble with Ankita not reporting for the shoot due to her ill health,” revealed sources. Rohit Bakshi turns vampire for Fear Files!
Rohit, seen as protagonist of Kahiin Toh Hoga on Star Plus, is currently enjoying being a versatile actor. He is again roped in to play crucial character of vampire in an interesting episode of Fear Files on Zee TV. He will play the role of a vampire Tamas, who survives on the blood of living beings. Rohit confirmed, “Yes, I am doing the show and today is my first day on the sets. I have watched a lot of vampire movies in the past and it's quite exciting to play a vampire onscreen.”

Vikas Sethi is nervous to make comeback!

Reportedly, two years back, Vikas divorced his wife and not only this he also faced an emotional turmoil. He hit the rock bottom in his life, succumbing to alcohol and depression. The financial crunch took a toll on his life, keeping him dejected and away from work.

Raj and Sarita will get closer after having bhang in a party in Punar Vivah!
A romantic plot has also been introduced in Balika Vadhu where Abhishek Tewari aka Mahi is getting romantically involved with his friend Aashima. Now, latest one lined up to follow the dance-romance sequence is Zee TV’s Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed, which is being produced by Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd.
Buzz has that Raj (Karan V Grover) and Sarita (Srishty Rode) will soon get closer. “In the upcoming episodes Raj and Sarita will go to a place where they will be offered bhang. Interestingly, the duo will get high after consuming it and come closer. Furthermore, they will also be seen dancing on the song Aaj Rapat Jaye Toh Hamein Na Uthaiyo in heavy rains,” sources said.
Srishty, she said, “We did shoot for a rain dance sequence last night (31 July 2013).”

Sonam Kapoor helps brother Harshvardhan bag Mirza Sahiba
Anil Kapoor informs that it was Sonam who got Harsh into the film. In fact, she was supposed to be a part of the film, but she opted out. However, Sonam is reluctant to take credit, “Who has told you all this? Harsh has got the role on his own merit. He’s excited about doing the film. Harsh is very talented and I know he is in the best hands. He met Rakeysh, showed him some of his auditions and worked hard to get the role on his own.”
When asked if she would give Harsh acting tips, she says, “I am just four-and-a-half years older than him so I don’t think I am qualified to give him advice. I have only told him to work hard and never leave anything half-way because those qualities have stood me good.
There’s time for him to find his own space. Harsh is only 23. He is a wonderful actor and if he works hard, he can achieve any heights,” concludes the actress who appears on the cover of GQ India, in a hot avatar this month.

I feel upset and distressed: Katrina Kaif's open letter
Katrina is upset with the leaked pictures of her private holiday and has issued an open letter to the media.
Here is the letter:
"I am writing this to say that I feel most upset, distressed and invaded at my pictures published in a film magazine (and which were carried by other media). The pictures were taken while I was on holiday by someone who, in an act of cowardice, has shot without permission and then used the pictures for commercial gain.
There is a breed of journalism that preys on celebrities in the worst possible manner crossing all lines of privacy and decency. Running these pictures shows support for this school of journalism.
I request that all media running these pictures please refrain from doing so. I have a wonderful relationship with the media and have been accessible to the media at all times. There is no reason for this furtive and invasive behavior."

5.4 magnitude earthquake hits Himachal Pradesh
An earthquake of moderate intensity rocked several areas of Himachal
Pradesh this morning, prompting people to rush out of their homes.
The tremors, which occurred at 8.03 am, lasted a few seconds. The magnitude of the quake was measured as 5.4 on the Richter scale.
No loss of life or property has been reported from any part of the state so far, officials said.
People in Shimla, Chamba, Lahaul and Spiti and Kullu and Kangra districts felt the tremors and rushed out of their homes.
Tremors were felt in Kangra and some other parts of the state on July 13 also.

Pramad to get out of control in Saraswatichandra!
The creative team is working day and night to make it work. They have recently introduced a plot wherein Kumud (Jennifer) shown facing trouble at her in-laws place. She is not only trying to cope up from the heartbreak given by Saraswatichandra (Gautam), but have also putting efforts to manage everything in her new house, with new man in life.
But, it seems happiness is too far from her. According to the sources, soon there will be a sequence where her husband Pramad (Anshul Trivedi) will go out of control. As seen so far, Pramad, who is a drunkard, dislikes his father Buddhidhan (Sai Balla) and is not interested in Kumud. But, he did not behave violently in the house so far.
One could also notice in the last episode that, he hurt Kumud, but nobody in the family learnt about it, except Saras. But now, Pramad’s not-so-good side is about to come out and he will be seen screaming and shouting. If that is not all, he will also end up breaking things in the house and bashing up a servant.
Everybody in the house including Kumud will be shocked to see his evil side. But, in spite of it all, she will decide to stay with him.

Is Vivian Dsena disobliging to Seema Mishra!
The protagonist of Colors’ popular show Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Vivian aka RK, is reportedly not in talking terms with his on-screen bhabhi, Seema Mishra. Buzz has that they don't even exchange customary greetings on the set. “Vivian's snide remarks irked Seema. He'd make fun of her sun sign and give her acting tips. She finally lost it and gave him a piece of her mind. Ever since, they refuse to talk to each other,” said sources.
Seema, antagonist of Madhubala accepted the reports saying, “There's no communication between Vivian and me. I maintain a distance from him. We have a working relationship, so the show doesn't suffer. I prefer to rehearse and improvise with my co-actors, but he'd rather rehearse with the assistant director. It becomes difficult at times to shoot a scene together because your co-actor may improvise in front of the camera.”
Sources close to Vivian denied buying anything what Seema said, rather they called it a publicity stunt. “This is nothing but Seema's attempt to garner publicity,” friend disclosed.
When sources got in touch with Vivian, he said, “I am cordial with my co-actors. I have no idea why Seema is giving such statements. To each their own.”

Bharti Singh to make a cameo appearance in Baal Veer!
Recently, it was reported that beautiful and talented Shruti Seth has been roped in to replace Karishma Tanna and play Rani Pari in the show. Now, latest report says the makers are set to bring Bharti Singh on the board.
“She will be the part of the family on Dharti Lok. It is a one week cameo and Bharti will start shooting for it from 2 August 2013,” inform sources.
Bharti, seen in Comedy Circus and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, also confirmed her presence in the fiction show saying, “Yes, I am doing the show. I actually wanted to play a fairy as I love dressing up like a fairy but the creative team has something else in mind. I can't comment anything on my role right now as I am yet to start shooting.”
